Welcome to Tanzania African Safaris! These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for booking and participating in our safari tours. By making a reservation, you agree to comply with these terms.
1. Booking & Reservations
Deposit Requirement:
A 30% deposit is required to confirm your booking.
The remaining balance must be paid 60 days before departure.
Payment Methods:
Bank transfer, credit card (Visa/Mastercard), or secure online payment.
5% surcharge for credit card payments (due to processing fees).
Last-Minute Bookings (Within 30 Days):
Full payment is required immediately.
2. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellation Fees:
60+ days before departure: Loss of deposit (30%).
30-59 days before departure: 50% of total cost.
0-29 days before departure: No refund.
Force Majeure (Unforeseen Events):
Natural disasters, political unrest, or pandemics may allow rescheduling (no refund).
Travel insurance is highly recommended.
3. Travel Insurance
🛡 Mandatory Coverage:
Medical evacuation, trip cancellation, and lost luggage are required.
Proof of insurance must be provided before departure.
4. Health & Safety
Vaccinations & Visas:
Yellow Fever certificate required if arriving from an endemic country.
Valid passport (6+ months before expiry) & visa (obtainable on arrival/eVisa).
Malaria & Wildlife Risks:
Tanzania is a malaria zone – prophylaxis recommended.
Follow guide instructions during wildlife encounters.
5. Changes to Itineraries
Modifications by Us:
Rare, but possible due to weather, park regulations, or safety concerns.
Alternative arrangements will be provided.
Changes by You:
Must be requested in writing.
Administrative fees may apply (10-20% of tour cost).
6. Responsibility & Liability
Limitation of Liability:
Tanzania African Safaris is not liable for:
Flight delays/cancellations.
Lost/damaged belongings.
Injuries or accidents during free time.
Wildlife & Adventure Risks:
Safaris involve inherent risks (animal encounters, rough terrain).
Participation is at your own risk.
7. Sustainability & Ethical Policies
Environmental Responsibility:
No plastic bottles – We provide reusable water containers.
Strict no-littering policy in parks.
Community & Wildlife Protection:
We support fair wages, anti-poaching, and local schools.
No unethical wildlife interactions (e.g., riding elephants, petting cubs).
8. Complaints & Disputes
Reporting Issues:
Notify your guide immediately for on-tour concerns.
Email us within 14 days post-tour for unresolved issues.
Governing Law:
Disputes subject to Tanzanian law (Arusha jurisdiction).
